I treated my self to some new tools. I am so glad I did as I really wanted to get to some sawing. I have drawn out some deigns a lonnnggg time ago and just never sat down and DID IT. So I made time and just started cutting. The first flower I made was a large pendent. It took more 6 saw blades to get thru. That was with my old 8" saw frame. So I had ordered some more saw blades and hemmed and hawed about the knew concept saw...should I spend the $$ now?...guilt guilt..this was close to Christmas time. But I did take the plunge. I LOVE THIS SAW FRAME! I was able to cut a whole flower right thru with out breaking a blade. It is so lightweight. Very easy to tension the blades. I must also mention the Studio Flux bench pin too. I love it also. I specially like the little whole to the right for cutting tiny details. I purchase my blades, saw frame and bench pin from fundametals.net. Jeanette Blix Ryan is the owner, she is so kind and helpful.

I have been working on these little buggers for months. I took the pictures and for some reason just did not want to show them off. I worked so hard on them to get them right I just wanted to keep them to myself. But now is the time to show them off. Push them out of the nest you might say. It is a marriage of my two loves: Enameling and Miniatures. I have been a miniaturist for years. When I started to make jewelry and then enameling I have been thinking about these little houses for a while. I finally had a "free" evening...put aside everything else and just started to figure it out. First making then little house out of card stock. Then out of copper. AL LOT of crooked little houses later and I managed to make one. Then I thought I better see if I could actually do it again...more crooked houses....and I managed to get 4 more. The bodies are made of copper, windows cut, roof and door cut and soldered on. I choose to solder them even though it took extra time because I did not want them to fall apart in the kiln. Things also expand and contract when they are heated and cool in the kiln so cracks could form. You can find them on ArtFire: Teka and Zoe.

Here is another...I was in this Treasury by Kathleen Cavalaro:
I just absolutely loved the pop of golden color with the robins egg blue. So I came up with this:
I was so inspired by a post on Facebook by Mary Ellen Golden(who by the way does the most incredible watercolors (maryellengolden.etsy.com). She posted a picture of herself wearing a custom dyed Shirt by Diana Hughes of Dye Diana Dye(find her on etsy). Diana calls her shirt: Trailing Tendrils Time's Echo Top. Ellen had the photo taken in her Hydrangea garden wearing her top. I found it so stunning that I had to figure out how to translate this to enamel:
This is what I came up with. It is my new most favorite color blend. My mind is always trying to figure out what else I can use it on...what can I shape out of copper?? Any ideas? Much thanks everyone for all of the inspiration.
